Margaret S. Kubiszyn
About Margaret
After graduating from law school, Margaret served a two-year term as Law Clerk to the late Edward Smith on the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the appeals court with exclusive jurisdiction over patent cases.
Afterwards, Margaret began private practice at a large firm based in Birmingham, concentrating on trademark, copyright and patent prosecution and protection. With increasing demands on her time from children and aging parents, she left private practice to focus on her family. For the next several years she taught patent law at Cumberland Law School as an adjunct professor, did contract legal work and worked on volunteer projects while shuttling her two boys to baseball, basketball, football, cross country, Boy Scouts, guitar, and school.
Margaret is excited to have the opportunity to return to practice with this exceptional group of attorneys at BTNL, where her practice is in general litigation, and trademark and copyright prosecution and protection.
