ALABAMA BOOKSMITH HOSTS LAUNCH OF BTNL PARTNER’S NEWEST BOOK; MAKES DONATION TO WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT

The Alabama Booksmith and Casemate Publishers launched BTNL partner Jim Noles’ book, Undefeated: A Story of Basketball, Battle, and West Point’s Perfect 1944 Season, at a book signing and reception at the Alabama Booksmith on November 27, 2018.

Published by Casemate, Undefeated tells the remarkable true story of West Point’s perfect 1944 basketball campaign 75 seasons ago – and of the battles its graduated cadets fought in the final year of World War II.

BTNL’s Jim Noles is a 1990 graduate of West Point; Undefeated is the latest in a series of non-fiction titles that Noles has penned.

“I was particularly gratified that Jake suggested donating a portion of his store’s proceeds on sales of the book to The Wounded Warrior Project,” Noles said, referring to the Booksmith’s owner, Jake Reiss. “That was a gesture typical of him.”

“The connections between what the Wounded Warrior Project stands for and the sacrifices made by West Point’s Class of 1944 made the decision obvious,” Reiss said.

Signed and personalized copies of Undefeated can be ordered from the Booksmith at booksmith@mindspring.com or by calling (205) 870-4242. Otherwise, Undefeated is available anywhere quality books are sold.
