BTNL Attorneys Speak at Alabama Forestry Association's Public Policy Series

BTNL partner Jim Noles and associate Catherine Masingill spoke at the Alabama Forestry Association’s Public Policy Series in Prattville, Alabama, on October 30, 2020. The focus of their presentation was on recent and pending regulatory and judicial actions in the environmental arena that have the potential to impact the forestry products supply chain.

According to Noles and Masingill, such actions included the pending downlisting of the federally endangered red-cockaded woodpecker, ongoing litigation associated with the Navigable Waters Protection Rule, and efforts to adopt a more precise definition of “critical habitat” under the Endangered Species Act. They also spoke to the possible impact of Amy Coney Barrett as the Supreme Court’s newest justice.
