Partner Jim Noles Authors Article In Natural Resources & Environment Magazine

For the Spring 2021 issue of Natural Resources & Environment, BTNL partner Jim Noles penned an intriguing story about Arvid Pardo and how he arose from a prison cell in Mussolini’s Italy to become Malta’s Ambassador to the United Nations and earn the sobriquet “father of the Law of the Sea Conference”.

Writing for the issue’s Perspectives column, Noles contemplates Pardo’s work, saying, “When we pause to read, think, and contemplate the larger issues that we seek to navigate, we might just have the opportunity—like Pardo did—to offer so much more.”

Natural Resources & Environment is the quarterly magazine of the American Bar Association’s section of Environment, Energy and Resources. The Spring 2021 issue’s focus is on the issues of marine and coastal law, with articles on topics ranging from environmental compliance on the cruise industry to offshore wind energy development.
