BTNL Lends a Hand for Habitat for Humanity

On July 25th, 2023, BTNL’s attorneys, accompanied by the firm's summer clerks, teamed together for a day's work helping to construct a Habitat for Humanity home in Bessemer, Alabama.

On a day when temperatures ultimately reached 93 degrees, BTNL’s work on the house mainly included installation of kickers, soffit, fascia, and siding, as well as work on interior vents and insulation and even some pouring of concrete.

"A crucial part of being a valuable member of the community is giving back," said Claire Elman, one of the firm’s summer clerks and a rising 2L student at the University of Alabama School of Law. “Supporting Habitat for Humanity’s mission and working as a firm to help build houses for the community was both a fun and fulfilling way to achieve that goal”.
