Barze Taylor Noles Lowther LLC Welcomes 2026 Summer Associates
BTNL is pleased to welcome Kyle Davis and John Harp as the firm’s 2026 2L Summer Associates, and Braxton Harrelson as the firm’s 1L Summer Associate. During their time with BTNL, they will be exposed to all components of the firm’s legal practice and will have the opportunity to put their legal studies to practical use.
Kyle Davis
Kyle Davis is a rising third-year law student at The University of Alabama School of Law, where he will serve as Editor-in-Chief of Volume 78 of the Alabama Law Review. Kyle is a Dean’s Scholar Award recipient, full-tuition scholarship recipient, member of the Bench & Bar Legal Honor Society, and has served two terms on the SBA Honor Council.
He graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics, where he served as President of the Sports Analytics Club. Kyle’s prior legal experience includes summer associate positions with BTNL and Burr & Forman and a judicial externship with the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
John Harp
John Harp is a rising third-year law student at The University of Alabama School of Law, where he is a full-tuition academic scholarship recipient, Senior Editor of the Alabama Law Review, a member of the 2026–2027 Moot Court Board, and a participant in the Appellate Advocacy Clinic.
He also serves as a Leadership Fellow and is involved with the Student Bar Association and Public Interest Student Board. John graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Justice. His prior legal experience includes serving as a judicial extern to the Honorable Corey Maze of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, working in the Criminal Trials Division of the Alabama Attorney General’s Office, clerking with BTNL, and interning with the Blount County District Attorney’s Office.
Braxton Harrelson
Braxton Harrelson is a rising second-year law student at The University of Alabama School of Law, where he is involved in the Business Law Society, Federalist Society, Capstone Connections, RNLA, and Run Club.
Braxton graduated summa cum laude from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration, majoring in finance with a concentration in personal wealth management. As an undergraduate, he served as Chief Justice of the Culverhouse College of Business Academic Honor Council and held leadership roles with the Student Government Association, Interfraternity Council, and Phi Delta Theta. His prior experience also includes working as a summer analyst with SageSpring Wealth Partners and serving as a junior board member for Autism of Alabama.
